Because many of the visitors to the Xeko.com site are children, we make sure our content is suitable for young people. In addition, we take measures to help children protect their privacy while online. For example, we do not ask children to disclose more personal information than is necessary for them to participate in a particular activity, and we never ask children to post contact information.

To help ensure a positive experience for our visitors - and for the parents of our young visitors - we provide this summary of our information practices. I. The Information We Collect

We respect the privacy of children, and do not collect any more personal information than reasonably necessary to enable them to participate in the activities we offer at our Website. At Xeko.com, we do not collect personally identifiable information from anyone who has not asked to join Club Xeko. When registering for Club Xeko, the only personally identifiable information we request is first/last name and email address. We also ask users to provide certain non-personally identifiable information, such as birth date and zip/postal code.

Club Xeko requires registrants to provide a first and last name, valid email address, birth date, zip/postal code, and the valid email address of a parent or guardian (for those under the age of 13). For some of our online activities - such as polls and surveys - we may ask users to provide additional information that is not personally identifiable, such as city and state of residence, or for a visitor's favorite Xeko animal character. When a child under 13 registers for Club Xeko and the Xeko newsletter, we will ask for a parent's email address so we can notify the parent that we have received a subscription request (along with personal information, including first/last name) from the child. We do not knowingly collect names and email addresses from children under 13 without notifying the parent via email and giving them the opportunity to remove their child's name from our list of subscribers.

When holding online contests or sweepstakes, we will not request additional information until winners are chosen, and we will not use non-standard personal information (i.e., information not normally requested from visitors when they sign up for Club Xeko) once the contest is over. Winners of our contests or sweepstakes are notified by email whenever possible, and are required to send us by fax or regular mail a form containing their street address. Winners who are minors must have the form signed by a parent in order to receive their prizes. Additionally, when visitors come to our site, we automatically collect some non-personally identifiable "computer" information, such as the type of computer operating system (e.g., Windows XP or Mac OS), the user's "IP Address," the Web browser (e.g., Firefox or Internet Explorer) being used, and information regarding the Internet service provider.

II. How We Use the Information

We use visitors' personal information for our internal purposes of enabling visitors to enter our online contests or sweepstakes, to subscribe to the Club Xeko email newsletter, or to inform players of upcoming events. We use the email addresses of parents to notify them when we have received information from their children and to give them the opportunity to have their child's name removed from our lists. We do not keep any personal information we obtain in connection with a contest or sweepstakes after the particular contest is over. We use the email addresses of the subscribers to the Club Xeko email newsletter only to send them the newsletter. Each newsletter contains instructions on how to unsubscribe from the list by clicking through to an automated unsubscribe page or by replying to the email with the word "remove" in the subject line. We also use visitor's personal information to monitor usage and to ensure users are adhering to Xeko.com's Terms and Conditions. Sometimes we will utilize agents or contractors to help us provide services to our visitors, such as helping us conduct a sweepstakes and send prizes to the winners. In such cases, we require the agent or contractor to keep all personal information confidential and to use it only for the specific services they are providing. We sometimes use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the content and design of our site, to personalize our visitors' experience on Xeko.com, and to offer services, products and programs. We also may use this information in the aggregate to analyze site visitation and usage.

We will disclose information we maintain when required to do so by law, for instance, in response to a subpoena or court order. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency's or other public agency's (including schools or childrens' services) request, or if we feel that such disclosure may prevent a crime.

III. Collection of Information by Third-Party Sites and Sponsors

Our site contains links to other sites, including those of advertisers, sponsors, conservation partners, and survey companies whose information practices may be different from ours. Sometimes these other sites might conduct promotions, contests or sweepstakes that are listed on Xeko.com. Visitors should consult the other sites' privacy notices, since those sites are not covered by our privacy policy and may follow procedures that differ from ours. Xeko never gives its users' email address or other registration information to third parties without permission; however, if you choose to opt-in and register with one of our sponsors, or not to opt-out (uncheck a box that will provide a partner/sponsor with your information), that means you have allowed Xeko to give your registration information, including email address, to that that third party.

IV. Cookies

Xeko.com uses a common technology referred to as "cookies." Cookies are small text files that we (and, potentially, certain third parties) place in visitors' computer browsers to store their preferences. Cookies themselves do not contain any personally identifiable information. Although cookies could enable Xeko.com to connect a visitor's use of our Website to personal information that a visitor has provided, such as an email address, we do not use them for this purpose. We use cookies to determine how many visitors we have and how frequently they visit various areas of our Website.

VIII. Effective Date

The privacy policy set out above is effective as of March 1, 2006, and applies to all information previously obtained by Xeko. Xeko reserves the right to change its privacy policy at its sole discretion. Xeko.com users will be informed of any such change by Xeko posting a new privacy policy on the Xeko.com website.
